UAE plans to send the first astronaut into space

CCTV News: UAE Muhammad Bin Rashid Space Center announced on the 25th that an Emirates astronaut will be sent to the International Space Station on September 25 this year. If the plan is completed, this will be the first time the International Space Station has welcomed the UAE astronauts.Yusuf, director of the Muhammad Bin Rashid Space Center, said at a press conference that two UAE astronauts are currently undergoing training, and one of them will be launched into the International Space Station on September 25 this year.

The astronaut will also introduce his space journey in Arabic for the first time on the International Space Station.  As part of the National Space Program, the UAE government launched the UAE Astronaut Program in December 2017 and selected two astronauts from more than 4,000 applicants for training.
